Solution:

The S.I. unit of work is joule

and the C.G.S. unit of work is erg.

∴ \;1 \;\text " joule "\;\;=10^5 \;\text " dyne "\; × 10^2 {\cm}

\;=10^7 \;\text " dyne-cm "\;=10^7 {\erg}

Thus, 1 joule

=10^7 {\erg}
