Solution:

Let

{\X}={[\table a ; b]}

∴ {[\table 4 sin \;30^{∘} , \cos 0^{∘} ; \cos 0^{∘} , 4 sin \;30^{∘} ]}{[\table a ; b ]}

={[\table 4 ; 5 ]}

⇒ \;\; {[\table 4 a sin \;30^{∘}+b \cos 0^{∘} ; a \cos 0^{∘}+4 b sin \;30^{∘} ]}

={[\table 4 ; 5 ]}

⇒ \;\; 4 a sin \;30^{∘}+b \cos 0^{∘}=4

⇒ \;\; 4 a × \;{1}/{2}+b × 1=4

⇒ \;\; 2 a+b=4

........(1)
and

\;\; a \cos 0^{∘}+4 b sin \;30^{∘}=5

⇒ 9 × 1+4 b × \;{1}/{2}\;=5

⇒\;a+2 b\;=5 .

...........(2)
Solving eqs (1) & (2), we get

a=1 \;\text " and "\; b=2

Hence
