Solution:

Let the length, breadth and height of the rectangle be l m, b m and h m respectively.
Given,

l : b : h = 6 : 4 : 3 = 6a : 4a : 3a

6a×4a× 3a = 72 ⇒ a = 1

The surface area

= 2 (6×4 + 4×3 + 3×6)= 108 m^2.
