If (-2,-1), (1,0) and (4,3) are three consecutive vertices of a parallelogram, then the sum of the lengths of the diagonals of that parallelogram is

Solution:

D = (-2 +4-1, -1 +3-0) = (1, 2)

Length of AC

=√{(4+2)^2+(3+1)^2}=√52

Length of BD

=√{(1-1)^2+(0-2)^2}=2

AC + BD = √52 + 2 = 2 (1 + √13).
