Concept:
The median is the middle number in a data set when the numbers are listed in either ascending or descending order.
If total number of observation (n) is even then, Median = [(n/2)th + (n/2 + 1)th]/2
Calculation:
Arranging the data 25, 34, 31, 23, 22, 26, 35, 28, 20, 32 in ascending order
⇒ 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 31, 32, 34, 35
here n = 10 which is even.
∴ Median = (5th term + 6th term)/2 = (26 + 28)/2 = 27
