The Doctrine of Basic Structure is an Indian judicial principle that the Constitution of India has certain basic features that cannot be altered or destroyed through amendments by the Parliament. It was in the Kesavananda Bharati Case that the Supreme Court of India enunciated the Doctrine of Basic Structure.
