In ovoviviparous animals, development of embryo occurs in the fertilised egges of female in female body. In these animals developing embryo absorb its nutrition from yolk of the egg. Thus, these eggs have high quantity of yolk, i.e. macrolecithal egg are present, e.g. shark, prototherians, etc.
