Teaching of History is important because it tells about the past events and we can also learn from the past experiences and mistakes. History helps us understand how society can change and develop. If we don't teach our children to connect with history, then the consequences for our society could be disastrous. We realise that we are responsible for building a legacy for the generations that follow us. A History teacher must focus on the objective to identify issues and events of the past which are relevant in the present time.
