And, number of male who voted = (4x – 480) and number of female who voted = (3x - 460)
According to the question,
(4x – 480) ∶ (3x – 460) = 18 ∶ 13
⇒ 52x – 6240 = 54x – 8280
⇒ 2x = 2040
⇒ x = 1020
∴ Number of male who voted = 1020 × 4 – 480 = 3600
