Solution:

Monoatomic gas

⇒ γ =5/3

PV^3 = C

on comparing with

PV^α = C

Here

α = 3

Heat capacity

C =R/{γ-1}-R/{α-1}

C = R/(2/3)-R/(2)

C = R [3/2-1/2]

C = R
