Given that C is 2 times of the average of A, B and D
$\mathit{C}=2\left(\mathit{A}+\mathit{B}+\mathit{D}\right)/3$
$\Rightarrow 3\mathit{C}=2\mathit{A}+2\mathit{B}+2\mathit{D}$
Number B is equal to the average of A and D
$\mathit{B}=\left(\mathit{A}+\mathit{D}\right)/2$
$\Rightarrow 2\mathit{B}=\mathit{A}+\mathit{D}$
Now,
$3\mathit{C}=2\mathit{A}+2\mathit{B}+2\mathit{D}$
$\Rightarrow 3\mathit{C}=2\left(\mathit{A}+\mathit{D}\right)+2\mathit{B}$
⇒ $3\mathit{C}=2\left(2\times 16\right)+\left(2\times 16\right)$
$\Rightarrow 3\mathit{C}=64+32$
⇒ $3\mathit{C}=96$
∴ C = 32
