It is true that quantity comes at the cost of quality, but there is simply no alternative. With time, the quality will also improve. Universities need to become more universal in order to flourish. Bringing in foreign talent might bring in a broader outlook in the field of education. Indian universities suffer from teacher absenteeism, lack of professionalism and abysmal research. Professionalism of good foreign faculty will both embarrass and motivate Indian counterparts. For vibrant and universal higher education, we should open up to talent from all over the world.
