(d) Adult females above the age of 50 in 1990
= 53% of 3474.8
= 1842
Total allowance give to them in 1990
= 1842 x 24000
= ₹ 44208000
Adults females above the age of 50 in 2000
= 48% of 8612.8
= 4134
∴ Total allowance given to them in 2000
= 4134 x 30000 = 124020000
∴ Percentage increase in allowance
=

{124020000 - 44208000}/44208000

x 100%
=

{124020 - 44208}/44208

x 100%
=

79812/44208

x 100%
= 180%
