Let the length, breadth and height be

3 x, 4 x

and

5 x {\cm}

respectively.
Then, volume of cuboid

=3840

⇒l×b×h=3 x × 4 x × 5 x=3840

⇒60 x^{3}=3840

⇒x^{3}={3840}/{60}=64 ⇒x=4

∴

The smallest side

=3 x=3 ×4=12
