and spends ₹ 40 on transportation. Afterwards he finds that 25 apples were rotten which he sold for

₹ 24

per dozen. He sells the remaining at

₹ 84

per dozen. Find his gain per cent.

Solution:

of 100 apples

=₹(500+40)=₹ 540

SP of 25 apples

=₹({24}/{12} × 25)=₹ 50

SP of remaining 75 apples

=₹({84}/{12} × 75)=₹ 525

Total SP of 100 apples

=₹(525+50)=₹ 575

Gain

={\SP}-{\CP}

=₹(575-540)=₹ 35

Gain percent

={\text " Gain "}/{{\CP}} × 100

=({35}/{540} × 100)

=6 {13}/{27} \%
