Solution:

(1) Ratio of the profit = 1250 : 850= 25:17
But they shared 60% profit.
If total profit is x, then
60% of

x×{25-17}/{25+17}

= 30
⇒

6/10 x×8/42

= 30
⇒ x = ₹ 262.50
