(B) Except Narmada and Tapti rivers of Madhya Pradesh, rest rivers flow into Bay of Bengal.Rivers on the Indian peninsular plateau flow from West to East because of the gradient of the land. However, Narmada and Tapi flow in the opposite direction because they do not flow on the plateau surface but in rift valleys and these valley s happen to have an opposite gradient.
