(A) Ravishankar Shukla was a leader of the Indian National Congress, Indian independence movement activist, the Premier of the Central Provinces and Berar from April 27, 1946 to January 25, 1950. He was the first chief minister of there organised Madhya Pradesh state from November 1, 1956 until his death on December 31,1956. He was elected from Saraipali, Madhya Pradesh,which is now a part of Chhattisgarh.
