(B) The State Human Rights Commissions (SHRCs) have similar responsibilities as the National Human Rights Commission but can only inquire into violation of human rights violations that are related to subjects in the State List and the Concurrent List of the Constitution of India. The Commission is required to present an annual report to the respective state government regarding any recommendation and may subject special reports when called for.
