Given, numbers a, b, c are in AP
∴ 2b = a + c ... (i)
Now, the given straight line,
$\frac{\mathit{x}}{\mathit{a}}+\frac{\mathit{y}}{\mathit{b}}+\frac{1}{\mathit{c}}$ = 0
⇒ $\frac{\mathit{x}}{\mathit{a}}+\frac{\mathit{y}}{\mathit{b}}+$ = $-\frac{1}{\mathit{c}}$

⇒ $\frac{\mathit{x}}{\left(\frac{\mathit{a}}{-\mathit{c}}\right)}+\frac{\mathit{y}}{\left(-\frac{\mathit{b}}{\mathit{c}}\right)}$ = 1 ... (ii)
By using condition (i), we cannot determine that line (ii) passes through from which point. So we can say that given condition for question is wrong for concluding a definite result.
