My train is announced,
It's panic I feel,
The ticket is received,
I spin on my heel.
With a suitcase and a bag,
Clutched in my hands,
I rush through the gates,
Where the TTE stands.
I pass all the coaches,
And full of hope, stare,
At one list and another,
My name isn't there!
I rush through a door,
A free berth I do spy,
Then the whistle blows,
And I wave goodbye.
