There are two types of risk acceptance strategies. Passive and Active acceptance. A passive acceptance strategy involves handling the risk as it occurs on the project. Passive acceptance refers to not having any plan in place to deal with the risk beforehand. On the other hand, active acceptance refers to coming up with a plan to address the risk when it occurs on the project.
