Solution:

Volume of the iron used =

{22}/7[4^2 - (4-1)^2] × 21

= 66(16 – 9) = 66 × 7 = 462

cm^3

Since, weight of the iron = 462 × 8 gm = 3696 gm = 3.696 kg
