Hema takes a total of 9 hours 55 min to walk a certain distance and then cycling back to the same from where she had started. She could walk both ways in 12 hours 30 min. The time she will take to cycle both ways is:

7 hour 20 min
7 hour 15 min
7 hour 35 min
7 hour 45 min

Solution:

(1) Heena walks the total distance in 9 h 55 min using cycle and walk

She covers the same distance while walking from A and B in

(12h30min)/2

= 6h 15 min
=6h 15 minSo, the time taken by cycle = 9h 55min – 6h15 min = 3h 40min

For both ways, the time becomes =3h 40 min × 2 = 7h 20 min
