and the salary of Kumud $=17\mathit{x}$
Anil gets salary hike by 2000 .
Kumud gets salary hike by 1000 .
According to the question,
$\Rightarrow \frac{19\mathit{x}+2000}{17\mathit{x}+1000}=\frac{8}{7}$
$\Rightarrow 133\mathit{x}+14000=136\mathit{x}+8000$
$\Rightarrow 136\mathit{x}-133\mathit{x}=14000-8000$
$3\mathit{x}=6000$
$\mathit{x}=2000$
$=17\times 2000$
$=34000$
