Man’s income = Rs. 100 (let).
∴ Expenditure = Rs. 75
Savings = Rs. 25
New income = Rs. 120
Expenditure =

{75×100}/{100}

= Rs. 82.5
Savings = Rs. (120 – 82.5)
= Rs. 37.5
∴ Required percentage =

({37.5-25}/{25})

× 100
=

{12.5×100}/{25}

= 50 %
