Solution:

Let the number be x.
According to the question,

x+20/x-9⇒{x^2+20}/x=9

⇒

x^2 + 20 = 9 x

⇒

x^2 - 9x + 20 = 0

⇒

x^2 - 5 x - 4 x + 20 = 0

⇒

( x-4 ) ( x - 5) = 0

∴

x = 4 ,5
