Solution:

Let Marked Price of the oven = Rs.100

x

If discount is 13%, Selling price =

{100−13}/100×100x=87x

87x=18000

⇒

x=18000/87=

206.9
If discount is 27.5%, selling price =

{100−27.5}/100×100x=72.5x

= 72.5 × 206.9 = 15000.25 ≈ Rs.15, 000
