Expression 2 : 4(x - 4) - 2 ≤ 3x - 1
⇒ $4\mathit{x}-16-2\le 3\mathit{x}-1$
⇒ $4\mathit{x}-3\mathit{x}\le -1+18$
⇒ $\mathit{x}\le 17$ ------(ii)
Combining inequalities (i) and (ii), we get : $-\frac{1}{2}$<$\mathit{x}\le 17$
