Sum of roots in an equation :

ax^2_bx+c=0

is

(A) :

x^2 − 11x + 18 = 0

⇒ Sum of roots =

-{ {-11}/1=11

(B) :

x^2 − 7x + 10 = 0

⇒ Sum of roots =

-{ {-7}/1=7

(C) :

x^2 + 2x − 26 = 0

⇒ Sum of roots =

-2/1=-2

(D) :

x^2 + 5x − 6 = 0

⇒ Sum of roots =

-5/1=-5
