The term 'White Revolution' is related with milk. It is also known as Operation Flood. Under Operation Flood, milk production was increased multifold by investing in basic infrastructure of dairy industry, promoting good fodder and care for the livestock. Verghese Kurien has played very significant role in launch and success of this Operation. Because of his contribution, he is known as the "Father of the White Revolution" in India.
