The period of Second Five Year Plan in India was from 1956 to 61. The Second Five Year Plan was drafted by PC Mahalanobis. Industrialisation was the main focus of this plan. Under this plan, many basic industries were established in the country. The Five Year Plans were drafted by erstwhile Planning Commission.
