Deepa Malik was one of the recipients of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2019. She is a Paralympian athlete associated with Shot Put, Javelin Throw, Discus Throw, Swimming \& Motorcycling. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games. In 2020, she was elected as President of the Paralympic Committee of India.
