When he sells the same at ₹35.

Solution:

Selling price = Rs. 31 and loss % = 7%
⇒ Cost price =

31/(100−7) ×100

3100/93 = Rs. 100/ 3

If selling price = Rs. 35
⇒ Profit % =

{35-100/3}/{100/3}×100

(105−100)/100 × 100 = 5%
