A dog after seeing a Cat finds that the Cat is 25 leaps away. Cat after seeing the dog starts running and the dog chases the cat. if in every minute, dog takes 5 leaps while cat takes 6 leaps and 1 leap of dog is equal to 2 leaps of cat, in how many minutes will dog catch the cat ?

Validate

Solution:

∵ leaps of cat = 5 leaps of dogs
∴ 1 leap of cat

=5/6

leaps of dogs
∴ 2 leaps of cat

=5/3

leaps of dogs

5/6×2\leaps

∴ Required speed

= 5-3

= 2 leaps
∴ Time taken by 2 leaps is equal to 1 minute
∴ Time taken by 1 leap is equal to

1/2

minutes
∴ Time taken by 25 leap is equal to

25/2

minutes = 12.5 minutes
