Solution:

Let, the radius and height of the cone be r cm and h cm respectively.
Now, according to the question,
Required volume of water

=πr^2h-1/3πr^2h=2/3π^2h

=2×1/3πr^2h

= 2 × volume of cone

= (2 × 27π) = 54π \cm^ 3
