Solution:

x=√3+√2

1/x=1/{√3+√2}

={√3-√2}/{(√3-√2)(√3+√2)}

=√3-√2

∴x^2+1/x^2

=(√3+√2)^2+(√3-√2)^2

=3+2-2×√3×√2

+3+2+2×√3×√2

=10
