having their mutual inductance M. The relationship among them must satisfy

$M > L_1 L_2$
$M ≤ √{L_1 L_2}$
$M = L_1 L_2$
$M >{ L_1 +L_2}/2$

Validate

Solution:

The expression for mutual inductance

M =K √{L_1 L_2}

Now the value of confident of coupling k lies between 0 and 1 ie. Mutual inductance is maximum when K = 1 and Mutual inductance is zero when K = 0
So K ≤ 1

∴ M ≤ √{L_1 L_2}
