Solution:

Total capacitance between the point L and N

= 2µF + 1µF = 3µF

and total capacitance between L and O

= ({3µ F ×2µF}/{3µ F +2µF}) +1µ F= 2.2µ F

Hence total capacitance between L and M

= ({2.2µ F ×2. µF}/{2.2µ F +2 µF}) +1µ F

= 2.0476 µF

∴ Option (d) is correct.
