DC shunt motor is use for blowers and fans because DC shunt motor is constant speed motor. Assume that the supply voltage is constant the flux also become constant. At the rated speed the back EMF also become nearly constant is the load is change.
Flux ‘ϕ’ is constant with load and Emf is nearly constant so speed is constant with change of load.
