Uniform wear theory is used today to design a clutch. Since uniform wear theory assumption gives lower torque capacity, the designing based on uniform wear theory for higher torque capacity will need bigger clutch dimensions. The clutch bigger dimension can carry the maximum torque when the clutch is in old condition and when it is new too.
