(4) The 92nd ConstitutionalAmendment Act, 2003,amended the Eighth Scheduleto the Constitution so as toinclude Bodo, Dogri, Santhaliand Maithali languages,thereby raising the total numberof languages listed in theschedule to 22. The EighthSchedule to the Constitutionoriginally included 14 languages.
