Determine the currents in the given network.

Solution:

Applying Mesh analysis for given circuit we get
For loop (1),

30=41_{i}+2(i_{1}+i_{2})

6 i _{1}+2 i _{2}=30....(1)

For loop (2),

40=4 i _{2}+2( i _{1}+ i _{2})

2 i _{1}+6 i _{2}=40 ...(2)

Solving equations (1) and (2), we get

i _{1}=3.125 \A

i _{2}=5.625 \A
