Consider the following figure.Power of engine overcomes friction and provides necessary acceleration to the car.
The expression for frictional force is given as,

=0.5×1200×10
=6000N
The force due to acceleration is calculated as follows,
F=ma
=1200×2
=2400N
The total force produced by engine is,
FT=f+F
FT=6000+2400
=8400N
The expression of power is given by,
P=FTv
Substitute the values.
P=(8400)(20)
=168000W
