A circle passes through the vertices of ΔABC whose sides are 5 units, 12 units and 13 units. The radius of the circle is (in units):

Solution:

(5, 12, 13) is a Pythagorean triplet
i.e.,

5^2+12^2=13^2

∴ ΔABC is right-angled and its hypotenuse is equal to the diameter of the circle
∴ Radius

=13/2=6.5

units
