Solution:

It is known that a recurring decimal in form

0.\ov{x}=x/9

Hence,

0.\ov{6}+0.\ov{7}+0 . \ov{8}=\;{6}/{9}+\;{7}/{9}+\;{8}/{9}=\;{21}/{9}

=2 \;{3}/{9}=2 \;{1}/{3}
