Solution:

Given

a×b=a+b-ab

1 × 2=1+2-(1 × 2)=3-2=1

3 × 4=3+4-(3 × 4)=7-12=-5

(1 × 2) ×(3 × 4)=(1) ×(-5)=1-5+5=1
