⇒ Cost price of 1 article $=120\frac{\mathit{p}}{10}=12\mathit{p}$
The Sale price of 12 articles = 120p
⇒ Sale price of 1 article $=120\frac{\mathit{p}}{12}=10\mathit{p}$
Clearly there is a loss in the sale and
loss % $=\frac{12\mathit{p}-10\mathit{p}}{12\mathit{p}}\times 100\%=16\frac{2}{3}\%$
