(d) The Indian Parliament consists of President and both the houses.According to Article 79 of the Constitution of India, the Parliament consists of President of India and the two Houses of Parliament known as Council of States (Rajya Sabha) and House of the People(Lok Sabha). The Parliament has four main functions – legislation(making laws), representation(acting on behalf of voters and citizens), scrutiny (examining the government) and formation of government.
