The GSAT satellites are India's indigenously developed communications satellites, used for digital audio,data and video broadcasting. Indian Space Research Organisation’s(ISRO) heaviest and most-advanced high throughput communication satellite GSAT-11 was successfully launched from the Spaceport in French Guiana on $5^{\mathit{t}\mathit{h}}$ December 2018.
